MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
  • Coordination of Specialist Arthroplasty form for State with guidance of Orthopaedic Association President so as to standardise Arthroplasty surgery undertaken at smaller setups, help younger surgeons to reduce complications.
  • Creation of a ring- fenced environment for elective orthopaedic surgical patients both in operation theatre and wards at KMC Hospital, Mangalore.
  • Played a role in service improvement projects for Barts & London Trust : Enhanced Recovery post- Hip & Knee Arthroplasty (2013- 2014).
  • Maintained on call SpR rota at Royal Surrey Hospital for 2.5 years (2009 – 2011) with cross- cover arrangements.
  • Successfully evolved and implemented a new middle grade weekly timetable (rota) for the Trauma & Orth department at Royal Surrey, in accordance with changing department needs, new deanery and EWDT requirements.
  • Participation in earthquake relief camp (2001) and subsequent Paediatric Orthopaedic camp – Kutch, Gujarat, India. (2003)
  • Carried out a number of Public Health campaigns as Medical Officer in rural India: environment awareness, tree plantation drive, AIDS awareness. (1999- 2000) Work highly appreciated through local newspaper articles.
